Lisa Fukuda

Kyoto born, Achill resident Lisa Fukuda is a pillar of Mayo's Tradional Music scene and founder of the Achill Slow Session Group. She teaches fiddle and tin whistle at Scoil Acla Winter classes and summer school. She is a founding member of the trad and folk ensemble The Achill Sound who released the album Isle of the Eagle in 2024. She is currently touring with The Basking Shark, an Audio Visual storytelling of Achill Island's past with basking shark fishing.
